Blade-edged rock walls, blacktips cruising the blue, and the best light on the coast.
The most photographed site in Trincomalee for good reason — the rock formations are genuinely dramatic, vertical and sharp-edged, and at eighteen metres the water is clear enough to shoot wide. Blacktips pass through. Moderate current on the exposed side, so it is an intermediate site rather than an open-water one.
When this site dives
Open through the Yala monsoon, when the southwest is unworkable. Closed November to April under the Maha monsoon.
